Where does all that clothes we put in the container finish? We know some of the possible answers but perhaps we are not at all aware of the costs that this supposes for the sustainability of our planet.

Eso me hizo pensar en que siempre debemos estar renovando el compromiso con lo que los rodea. Es un hecho que formamos un todo con el planeta y que el ritmo tan brutal de consumo nos está abocando a un futuro muy oscuro en muchos aspectos. Todos tenemos la capacidad de reacción y de hacer algo al respecto; a nuestro ritmo sin agobios ni imposiciones poco a poco adquiriendo nuevos gestos que a la larga se convertirán en hábitos y mejorarán nuestra calidad de vida.
A mí me produjo mucha alegría el saber que hay gente que pese a las complicaciones iniciales que les supone cambiar la forma de consumir, lo hacen, demostrándonos a todos que la voluntad todo lo puede. Y me sentí un poco menos sola porque aunque estamos en puntos diferentes nos mueve la misma inquietud que es la de tratar de mejorar lo que nos rodea.
Yesterday I shared on Facebook a story about the initiative of some families to reduce as much plastics as possible in their life and translate that adventure into different Blogs: My plastic-free life is an example and here in Spain: Una vida Simple, there is more and you have all in the link of the news.
That made me think that we should always be renewing our commitment to what surrounds them. It is a fact that we form a whole with the planet and that the brutal pace of consumption is driving us into a very dark future in many respects.We all have the capacity to react and do something about it; at our pace without any burdens or impositions little by little acquiring new gestures that in the long run will become habits and improve our quality of life.
I was very happy to know that there are people who despite the initial complications of changing the way they consume, they do, demonstrating to all that the will can do everything. And I felt a little less alone because although we are in different points we are moved by the same concern that is to try to improve what surrounds us.

En mi caso en concreto yo apuesto por un cambio radical en el consumo de productos textiles, en que aprendamos a leer etiquetas, a interesarnos por su contenido. Que materiales usan, donde se ha confeccionado e incluso cuanto he pagado por ella... al hacernos todas estás preguntas y tratar de buscar respuestas nos damos cuenta que por el precio pagado por esos productos...alguien está sufriendo las consecuencias.Casi siempre e irremediablemente somos ese tándem inseparable que formamos el planeta y los seres humanos. Un cambio en la forma de producción textil también nos lleva a reducir el impacto negativo en tanto a residuos se refiere. O acaso cuantas veces no hemos escuchado esa frase tan terrible que reza así: "pues nada, cuando se rompa, lo tiro y compro uno nuevo, total para lo que me ha costado" , esto es el pan nuestro de cada día en el textil. Para que vas a arreglar algo que te ha costado 3€, lo usas y a los dos lavados se ha desgastado o roto, a la basura. A mí oír esto me rompe porque demuestra muy poco interés por la prenda en sí y por todo el proceso tan costoso que lleva detrás. Claro es que por múltiples razones en el precio no se refleja de forma clara los costes y beneficios que confluyen en esa prenda. Implica muchos recursos tanto materiales como humanos y es difícil abstraerse de esa realidad. Quizás uno se vuelve más consciente cuando comprueba por si mismo lo que cuesta hacer las cosas. Yo en cuanto me adentré en el mundo de la confección me di de bruces con la realidad. Por eso poco a poco voy tomando conciencia de lo que y como lo hago. Es un proceso lento y no me impongo nada, salvo la intención de tratar de informarme todo lo posible sobre lo que me rodea y como os comentaba al comienzo de este post, nutriéndome de las experiencias de los demás para que me sirvan como motivación para seguir adelante.
Así que poco a poco vayamos entre todos formando parte de esa transición hacia un mundo más justo y sostenible. Cambiemos en la medida de nuestras posibilidades nuestra forma de comprar y de disfrutar lo comprado. Aprendamos a valorar, a ver el aspecto humano que hay detrás de cada prenda.
In my case in particular I bet by a radical change in the consumption of textile products, in that we learn to read labels, to be interested in its content. What materials do they use, where has it been made and even how much have I paid for it ... by asking all of these questions and trying to find answers we realize that for the price paid for those products ... someone is suffering the consequences. and irremediably we are that inseparable tandem that we form the planet and the human beings. A change in the form of textile production also leads us to reduce the negative impact as much as waste is concerned. Or maybe how many times we have not heard that terrible sentence that says: "well, nothing, when it breaks, I throw it and buy a new one, total for what it has cost me", this is our daily bread in the textile . So that you are going to fix something that has cost you € 3, you use it and the two washes has worn or broken, in the trash.To me hearing this breaks me because it shows very little interest in the garment itself and in the whole costly process behind it. Of course is that for multiple reasons in the price does not clearly reflect the costs and benefits that come together in that garment. It involves many resources both material and human and it is difficult to abstract from that reality. Perhaps you become more aware when you see for yourself what it costs to do things. As soon as I got into the world of clothing, I was faced with reality. That is why I gradually become aware of what and how I do it. It is a slow process and I do not impose anything, except the intention to try to inform me as much as possible about what surrounds me and as I commented at the beginning of this post, nurturing me from the experiences of others to serve as motivation to follow ahead.
So let's slowly go among them as part of that transition towards a more just and sustainable world. Let us change as far as possible our way of buying and enjoying what we bought. Let us learn to value, to see the human aspect behind each garment

Yo por mí parte empezaré a comprometerme a implementar en mi vida nuevos hábitos de consumo para reducir el uso del plástico siguiendo los consejos de esos valientes que ya han recorrido parte del camino y les agradezco muchísimo que compartan esa sabiduría. Seguiré creando productos sostenibles y artesanales para que podáis disfrutar de ellos. Y sobretodo seguiré manteniendo la esperanza e ilusión de que entre todos esto lo vamos a cambiar.

I, for my part, will begin to commit myself to implementing new habits of consumption in my life to reduce the use of plastic following the advice of those brave men who have already traveled part of the way and I thank you very much for sharing that wisdom.
